★ ★ ★ ★ ★ “A great story that kept me up late at night turning pages and wondering what was going to happen next.” – Fantasy Fan

Story:

By the morning of his thirtieth birthday Manly Hero still hasn’t killed a monster. Normal for most people perhaps, but not for his family. Monster-slaying is the Hero family business, and Manly comes from a very long line of monster-slayers. In fact, Manly’s grandfather is one of the most famous monster-slayers to have ever lived. And now in the land of Aldendhar monsters are completely extinct, because Manly’s grandfather was just a little too awesome at his job.

So what is the thirty-year-old grandson of a monster-slayer supposed to do with his life? Hold down his job as a butterfly curator at the royal museum? Hang out with his two best friends; Cronimus, the failing wizard, and Ruby, the pickpocketing, self-proclaimed pirate? Or should Manly finally admit his true feelings to the girl of his dreams, the beautiful and famous Amelia Champion? And there’s still those birthday letters Manly’s receiving from his dead grandmother.

However, by the evening of his thirtieth birthday, Manly’s mind will be filled with a much different set of questions. Can he actually slay a monster? What happened to his catatonic grandfather? And are his parents really in an open marriage? The answers Manly finds will take him down a crazy path of adventure he couldn’t have foreseen, with a group of characters just as unique as his family.

Manly Hero is now available! And we are super stoked. You can download a free sample (or purchase it) at amazon, createspace,  SmashwordsBarnes and Noble, and iBooks. 🙂

I don’t think of myself as a “well read” person. I’ve only started reading more recently because of the convenience of the kindle app on my phone. Well, also because I’ve got no time to watch my favorite TV shows like Eureka and Merlin; working two jobs cuts into Ttime. But reading has filled my need to escape momentarily from reality into fantasy so I don’t go crazy. Your novel is my most recent purchase and I loved it! The fantasy genre is filled with many teenage coming of age story’s, which is fine. I enjoy them and I’m able to relate but I’m relating to them by self retrospect (I’m 27). When I read the description of Manly Hero, and saw that he was 30 I literally did a double take and had to read it again. I downloaded the sample and after first three chapters I bought the full novel. I related to Manly throughmyevery day life; well as much as can with a world of heros, champions and dragons. I don’t throw around the “L” word his ownhis own
